Kate is a Consultant, Coach and Board professional with a rare insider perspective on leadership across both the commercial and non-profit worlds.
Her expertise lies at the intersection of business and society with a background in consulting to some of the world’s biggest corporations on people, performance and productivity, as well as holding senior leadership positions in non-profits focused on societal issues, such as Comic Relief, Nesta and the Forward Institute. She knows what it feels like to face public scrutiny and the many competing demands on leaders.
Kate advises senior Leaders and Boards on the role they play in society and how to embrace a broader definition of leadership that works for society as well as shareholders. She is soon to be co-host of the podcast ‘Seat for Society’, speaking with leaders from across industries and sectors on the toughest decision they’ve taken on behalf of society and how it went. She writes for leading magazines such as Fast Company on how the business and non-profit worlds can learn from each other, speaks at events on the changing role of business in society, and over the years has advised think tanks in the UK & US and judged various industry awards.
She’s an experienced Boardroom operator herself, having Chaired the Board of leading British charity Missing People. She is currently a Non-Executive Director at ParalympicsGB and Chairs the Social Impact Committee.
Having lived much of her life in the UK, she currently lives in Washington DC with her husband and two children.
