A new role to the organisation, the client was grappling with high levels of Board exposure, constantly shifting company priorities and the need to deliver a sustainability strategy document in 3 months.
Coaching sessions were a safe place to share frustrations and concerns, consider strategies to approach short term challenges and set up longer term success, as well as plot practical actions that could help to build personal resilience to complex and political demands.
Coaching resulted in the client being able to stay focused on top priorities and minimise distraction; advocate for solid, less reactive plans, and purposefully build the leadership brand they wanted given the newness of the role.
Partnered with a client as they developed their business strategy for a purpose-led start up. Exploring their purpose, how that would manifest as a successful business and where the opportunities for growth and profit lie.
Included being a sounding board for resourcing models and investment opportunities as well as supporting personal mental health .
Coaching resulted in the client delivering a clear 12 month operating plan, growing the business by 40%, and the creation of a clear fundraising strategy and pitch deck,
Coached a Communications Director to manage themselves, their CEO, Board, fellow executives and other stakeholders through the development of their social impact strategy. Included emotional and practical support through a challenging personal period, diverse stakeholder views, limited company knowledge of social impact and minimal resources.
Sessions covered partnering with the client on their stakeholder management plans, setting realistic goals, considering additional resources that would help and self awareness of their role in the strategy's development.
Outcomes included additional resource being secured, an approved strategy with high levels of engagement, a new governance structure to ensure the new strategy is embedded culturally and operationally.
Partnered with a CEO who has a strong sense of personal values and was wanting to bring that into the company's purpose.
The coaching supported them to articulate their purpose in the context of the business they lead and some of its existing activities. This story could then be shared as context to help members of the executive to explore the companies purpose as a team before developing the strategy for wider consultation with employees.
Outcomes included growing alignment at Exec level where there was non previously and a commitment to progress on the companies 'purpose' agenda.
